This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a replacement 427ci V8 mated to a four-speedmanual transmission and is finished in Tuxedo Black over black leather upholstery.Features include a power windows, chrome bumperettes, factory side pipes, an originalshifter, an analog clock, an AM/FM radio, power antenna, four-wheel disc brakes, Kelsey-Hayes Knock-Off wheels, and correct Firestone Gold-Line Tires. Since its restoration, thiscar has driven very few miles, and remains as clean underneath as the day it was finished.This beautiful car is the recipient of an extremely detailed, nut and bolt restoration.Tremendous attention to detail is apparent throughout, with correct fasteners, finishes andassembly present in all areas of the car. The painstaking restoration was undertaken over aperiod of many years by its former owner in British Columbia.The fiberglass body is finished in Tuxedo Black and features, split chrome bumperettes,side exit exhausts, pop-up headlamps, fender vents. The deep black finish shows off thevery straight body and excellent panel fitment and gaps. The car was completelydisassembled for the color change from the factory 980 Blue to Tuxedo Black. The painthas received additional ceramic coating and strategically placed clear film protection toensure that the paint finish remains as good as the day it was painted approximately 12years ago.The wears correct 15 Kelsey Hayes Aluminum Knock off wheels, with matching Gold-LineBias-Ply tires. Braking is handled by unassisted discs at all four corners. Correct four-pistoncalipers, dust shields, and other system components are correct, and wear the correctfinishes as new. Suspension and running gear is similarly detailed, with correctcomponents utilized throughout.The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather joined by a color-coordinateddashboard, door panels, and trim. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, a chromefactory shifter, an analog clock, lap belts, power windows and a push-button AM/FM radio.The three-spoke, telescoping steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, atachometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 63670miles. Total mileage is unknown.The replacement 390 horsepower 427ci V8 was is era-correct, and features a correct Holleyfour-barrel carburetor and a Holley intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, stampedsteel valve covers, correct exhaust manifolds, correct sleeved spark plug wires and sparkplug heat shields. Correct GM Accessories and hoses complete an engine bay that looks likethe date if left the factory in St. Louis.Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
